BARCELONA INFORMATION

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN BARCELONA

The public transportation inside the city is rather quick and convenient. Exists a complete comunications network, composed by taxis and a extensive public transport network, that covers the whole city of Barcelona. Taxis in Barcelona can be easilly distinguished by their colors yellow and black. They can be hired at any time, either by booking or by hailing at them in the street.

There are five metro lines and a fleet of 800 buses which run over 80 routes and travel to any part of the city. As well as single tickets, which can be bought at metro stations and on the buses, there are 3 to 5 day travel passes which are more convenient to use during the time of your stay as they allow unlimited travel on the whole network. They are available at Barcelona Metropolitan Transports (TMB) offices.
